About the Position
About First Baptist Church
mission is to declare Jesus as Christ and demonstrate his love to our families,
community, and world. On a typical Sunday morning, about 130 people are in
attendance at First Baptist Church in Whitehall, Wisconsin. We are a
multigenerational church that draws from many local communities throughout
Trempealeau County. FBC is a vibrant and growing church poised to reach out not
only to its neighbors in Whitehall, but also to the many surrounding areas,
most of which do not have an evangelical church nearby.
We are affiliated with a network of other Conservative Baptist churches through CB North Central.
About Whitehall, Wisconsin
city of Whitehall is located in a rural region of rolling hills in West Central
Wisconsin. Though only 1,600 people reside within the city, many people from
neighboring towns regularly trek to Whitehall which, as the county seat, is
home to many Trempealeau County services.
Essential goods and services are available in Whitehall, but major shopping centers are located in Eau Claire (40 miles North), or La Crosse (50 miles South). World class medical care is located nearby in Rochester, MN (90 miles south west). The nearest major metropolitan city and major airport are in The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN (135 miles North West).
Much of the area surrounding Whitehall is farmland and many people are employed either part time or full time in agriculture. Other major industries in the area include Ashley Furniture, Pilgrim’s Pride (poultry processing), Gunderson Tri County hospital and clinic, Whitehall Specialties (specialty cheeses), Sourcecut Industries (finish carpentry), and a number of local sand mines.
