OUR LEADERSHIP

rOB bUHL

lEAD pASTOR,  ELDER

Rob is a native of the Pacific Northwest and moved to Whitehall in September of 2016. In ministry he has served in camping ministry, youth ministry, college ministry, as an associate pastor, and now is in his second role as a lead pastor. Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and theology from Corban University and later completed an MBA, focusing in nonprofit management. Rob desires to communicate the truth about Jesus in a way that is both relevant and helpful.

“One of my favorite messages from Jesus”, says Rob, “is found in Matthew 11:28”. “Especially when I feel like the weight of life is heavier than I can carry, I am reminded that Jesus asks me to approach him with those concerns”.  “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28

aARON hUNG

aSSOCIATE pASTOR

Aaron and his wife Sarah came to Whitehall in the fall of 2018. His responsibilities include music, youth, and children's ministries. He is grateful to have experience in a number of camp, short-term missions, and church settings, and is excited to see how God is demonstrating His goodness, power, and faithfulness in Trempealeau County. One of Aaron's favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:6, "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

Virgil dick

Elder

Virgil has been at FBC since 1989 when he moved to Whitehall with his new bride Linda.  They raised their 3 children here and have served together in youth and children’s ministries throughout the years.   Currently, Virgil and Linda teach the 6th-12th grade Sunday School class, help with K4T and organize VBS.  Virgil’s favorite hobby is doing God’s original career choice for mankind—ie. gardening!  He loves to share fresh fruit and vegetables grown in his garden with those who are unable to grow their own.  His life verse is Isaiah 41:10.

“So do not fear, I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

jeff knickerbocker

elder

Jeff and his lovely bride Susie purchased a home in the Whitehall area in 2019 and have been involved with FBC ever since. Their Trempealeau county roots go back to the early 1980s when Jeff was a student at Winona State while living near Centerville. Jeff spends a lot of time traveling or working at his desk with aviation clients but also enjoys “high touch” activities in the shop and out of doors.

One of his favorite and practical Bible passages is Matthew 6:28 – 33.

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
