The Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the all sufficient basis of faith, doctrine, and practice, every word in every part of the original manuscripts of the Bible are given by inspiration of God and it is truth without any mixture of error in its matter, thus being the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.

The True God

We believe there is one and only one living and true God; an infinite, intelligent, perfect and personal being who is the Creator, preserver, and supreme ruler of the universe, inexpressibly glorious in His holiness and all other perfections, and worthy of all confidence, and love.

We believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit equal in every Divine perfection and executing distinct yet harmonious offices in the great work of redemption and growth of believers.

The Father

We believe God the Eternal Father is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of all who come to God through Christ. We rejoice in that He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of men, He hears and answers prayer, and He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Son

We believe that the whole of scripture centers on the Lord Jesus Christ, and points to His sufferings and the glory that should follow.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God being supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, became man without ceasing to be God.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was without sin in His own life, but that He was made to be sin for us upon the cross of Calvary where He suffered all the wrath of God against sin as a vicarious, substitute sacrifice. His burial declares the complete putting away and removal of our sin. And His literal, bodily resurrection assures our justification and manifests His complete victory over sin, death, and Satan.

We believe that the risen Lord Jesus ascended into heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our great high priest, we have in Him an advocate with the Father who ever lives to make intercession for His own.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with the Father and the Son and of the same nature. In His relationship to the unbelieving world he restrains the evil one, and He convicts the lost of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, bearing witness to the truth of' the gospel as the Word is presented.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the agent in the new birth, all believers are baptized in the Spirit into the body of Jesus Christ, and from the moment of conversion He dwells within the children of God.

Satan

We believe that Satan is a real being, a fallen angel, the first created being to sin. He is the enemy of God and man; his power is limited (he is not omnipotent as is God, but his power is increased by the innumerable host of demons who do his will and serve him, so that he is in touch with the whole world); and he will suffer eternal, conscious punishment in the Lake of Fire.

Man

We believe man came into being by the direct creation of God as recorded in Genesis 1 and 2, and not by evolution. He was created in holiness and in the image of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from that sinless and happy state. In consequence, all of mankind are now sinners, void of that holiness required by the laws of God and arc positively inclined to evil and are therefore, under just condemnation to eternal ruin without defense or excuse.

We believe regeneration, or the new birth, is accomplished in the soul by the Holy Spirit, in which the divine nature is imparted into man when a person repents of sin and believes in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus, one becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust, and that heaven, a place of everlasting blessedness is the everlasting abode of the saved, and that Hell, a place of everlasting conscious punishment is the everlasting abode of the unsaved.

We believe election is the eternal purpose of God, according to which He graciously regenerates, sanctifies, and saves sinners. It is a most glorious display of His sovereign goodness, being infinitely free, wise, holy and unchangeable; utterly excluding boasting, yet promoting instead humility, love, prayer, praise, trust in God and imitation of Christ's free mercy. It may be seen in its effects in all who truly believe the gospel.

Salvation

We believe the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the imputed merits and the mediatorial work of the Son of God. That, as a vicarious sacrifice on Calvary's cross, He died in our place, bearing our sins in His own body on the tree, shedding His precious blood for our redemption. He was buried, our sins being put away with Him in His burial, and was raised again to assure our justification. He has ascended into a high priestly ministry on our behalf; He is in every way qualified to be an All-Sufficient Savior, and nothing can be added to His finished work.

We believe genuine repentance, a godly sorrow for sin and a turning from sin is an essential aspect of the sinner's salvation, and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (that is, faith in His atoning work for the removal of our sins) is the only condition of salvation.

We believe the great gospel blessing, which Christ secures to such as believe in Him, is justification. This includes the removal of all sin and the gift of eternal life, not in consideration of any works of righteousness, which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer's blood. The believer is judicially declared righteous in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe at the moment of conversion, each believer is sanctified or made holy by his position in the body of Christ. We further believe a lifelong process of sanctification, involving victory, over sin and spiritual growth in grace, is begun at the time of regeneration. We believe this process is carried on in the hearts of believers by the person of the Holy Spirit whose purpose it is to reveal Christ in the Believer The Believer's part in this work is to present his/her body a living sacrifice, to reckon himself to be dead indeed unto sin, rest in the finished work of Christ for all his sin, and rely upon the indwelling Christ for victory in every temptation. The Believer's final perfection will be realized when Jesus comes for His Church.

The Church

We believe a local New Testament church is an assembly of baptized believers who have obediently associated themselves for worship, instruction, service, the administration of the ordinances, evangelism of the lost, and the encouragement of one another. The local church is responsible only to Christ as its head. It may, for the purpose of common ends, engage in associations, provided such associations do not exercise authority over the local assembly.

We believe the local church, as an organization, is to be separate from the state, and yet the individual member is to be subject to the state.

Church Ordinances

We believe Christian Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water, to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior.

We believe the Lord's Supper is the commemoration of Christ’s death until He comes, and the elements are symbolic of the broken body and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus. Only believers should partake, and the partaking should always be preceded by a solemn self-examination.

Last Things

We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Bride, the church. The believer will then appear before the judgment seat of Christ to be rewarded according to his works.

We believe in the personal, visible, pre-millennial coming of Christ to restore the throne of David and to reign a thousand years.

We believe in the final resurrection of the unjust to stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgment, and whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life (including the devil and all his followers) will be cast into the Lake of Fire to be tormented day and night, forever and ever.

We believe in the glorious, eternal reign of God.

We believe that the church should be separated from any theological or philosophical position which contradicts the fundamentals of the faith, such as theological liberalism, or New Age philosophy.
